Has anyone tried the Guardian Mission?

I tried the new Guardian Mission and found that I'm getting nauseous after an hour of "working" the site. I took a couple of hours rest then went back to it. An hour later I'm nauseous. Had to give up the mission.

I've had no problems using VR and actually enjoy driving on planets with no problems. Just curious if anyone else has had issues with the mission.

yup, managed about 30 mins before I had to have a lie down. Its not recommended in VR as there's a lot of backwards/forwards jostling about on the site. Would be better if the forwards/backwards movement was less immediate, ie, a gradual pickup of speed instead of the instant stop/start of the SRV.

I think you will get lots of people answering yes the the question in the title.

I can't SRV in VR, without wanting to wretch 5-10 mins later.

Also sometimes get it in SRV 2D.

Yes I do get it a bit more often on Guardian sites and similar, but it's likely just because lots of turning and moving back and forth.

It's all the up and down bumping, can I have a skimmer please FDEV that says nice and level and stuff.

Agreed! A skimmer in VR would be soooo welcome! I like the new planets, unfortunately every one I've been to has been extremely rough. They could make the skimmer speed equal to the max speed of the SRV. That would allow resource and POI spawning at the game's normal rate.

Is there something particularly nauseating about the guardian mission, as opposed to just normal SRV prospecting? It took me a few sessions of gentle driving and intermittent breaks but I feel like I finally have my VR legs for the SRV (with the lock to horizon comfort setting on!). I was on a low-G mountainous planet for hours the other night collecting materials.

Without giving too much away... The Guardian Mission involves a lot of "strenuous" driving. The ruins are very rough and the scanning process requires constant juggling of artifacts. After awhile it gets to you.

Lately I've been element gathering and having fun jumping on low gravity planets. I spent over an hour with no problems doing this. Of course as bitstorm said, a skimmer would be great addition to the game.
