Has anyone used the new 48 inch OLED screen with ED ?

I was thinking of upgrading my 32" BenQ monitor to a 38" widesceen monitor.
I like the 21:9 format and occasionally use it on the BenQ (which is possible with a custom 2560x1097 resolution).

The new LG 48" OLED tv looks to be an excellent monitor replacement..
But I don't know if it would support a custom resolution of say 3840x1600, which is 21:9 on the 38" monitors, but on a bigger TV screen .
In fact in 21:9 format the OLED would be equivalent to a 46" 21:9 monitor - but with 1.5" black bands above and below the picture.

The height of the TV is not much more than the BenQ, which stands quite high on my desk, whereas the TV would sit quite low, this means the picture centre would be about at the same level.
The only downside might be the flat screen, rather than curved on the monitors. They cost about the same money anyway.

So, has anyone tried to get a widescreen picture on the 48" LG ? (or any size bigger in fact)
And is there anything else I should take into account ?

I'm reading it now on the 43" LG smart tv AI thin q. quality is Great there little pixel's I never have seen before on a standard monitor I move from a 32" standard LG. But the main reason I can switch hdr on/off as I seem to have a problem with it atm Elite dangerous Going Dark screen (reddish/blue). and usually, tab out to sort that out. Don't know if it Driver related yet! has nvidia seem to throw drivers around on a regular basis

Elite’s HUD has caused burn in on my 2017 LG OLED - even with Screen Shift on and that refresher thing run every now and then. I understand new ones are better but would genuinely struggle to recommend an OLED for gaming based on my experience. Others may have had better luck, though.
