Has cyclops behaviour changed?

Is it just me or have they become a bit tougher recently? I was soloing them no prob but toiling now.

Another poss is the krait canopy has become incredibly weak since i was last killing interceptors. I'm doing everything the same as before. But the canopy is like plastic now for some reason. It's blowing in every cyclops fight...

Every so often I run into a cyclops that seems to be on speed but as of yesterday the cyclops I fought was normal.

Ye maybe fdev nerfed the krait canopy. I see people raised an issue with it back in July. I've never had to carry an afmu, but even using one the canopy is getting melted super quick against a cyclops....and i've killed a fair few of them in the past without too much trouble.

The Cyclops are sometimes different to each other. I had myself one that was normal, the next one was like on speed and much more a challenge.

The Krait Canopy really seems like made of paper suddenly. My basilisk today dropped my shields for a moment and i got the massage "canopy breach" even before the animation has finished and this with 5D guardian MRP :S

Hmmm. I've raised it in the bug forum just in case. I've built my krait for a specific job, which it's done well until now. I've not changed what i'm doing and suddenly i can't keep my canopy for more than 2/3 hearts, even when repairing it regularly.

I use a Cutter with Prismatics for Cyclops solo duty. Finish the fight with shields still up and 85% hull left. Time to go find the next Alien punching bag.

I have no access to prismatics and also come out with high shield and hull. Tried moving on to the basilisk. It cost me 56million and a fighter retraining session. Maybe another day.

Forget fighters and also prisms. Take bi-weaves! I'm doing fine up to basilisks with this outfit:
Remember, some sort of kiting is still necessary, don't park in their fire arc ;)

Classic hit and run tactic. Take one heart down, run faOff, repair hull and regenerate shields, flip and take down next heart. Inbetween smashing the drones but don't focus on them too much ;)

Presonally ive always prefered the Adama style of combat "slugging it out like two old ships of the line". It usually costs me dear in repair bills but dam it i love feeling like a battlestar. All I need now is point defence auto flak turrets and my dream would be complete.

On topic though. I do remember a thread where thargoid behavior changed based on the symbol it dispalyed. Some would be tougher to fight than others. Dont know if much work has been done here since the variants showed up but its worth a look.

That's how i do it with my Battle Conda, but with Shard Canons. :D It only works against Cyclops though..

Yea, my try got me half a basilisk, but I underestimated their speed and got hit by the lightning a few times.

But my point was that these can be done without having the biggest shield available in the game.

Hey bud not to insult your intelligence, but it is easily missed and a lot of people don't realiZe it. Go to a station. Advanced maintenance. Top right there is a repair ship integrity. Over time that wears out and auto repair doesn't fix it. Let me know how that works out.

If the issue seems fixed, update the bug report to let others know.

I've been soloing cyclops in my krait and finish normally with 90+ still on the hull. but I have run into a few around damaged mega ships that I can't outrun. I can pop a heatsink on those boost out to 8+km away and when I go fa off and turn he is already on me within shooting distance. it's only happened twice so far. however both times the hearts where actually easier to exert and kill.

I'd hate to repeat myself, but thargoid ships have different anagrams, it would probably help identifying different 'behavior' by the gliph and that might explain if they behave differently.
