Has Elite rank been changed ?

Not very fair if they raised it. Trading and Exploration haven't changed, why should combat?

I'm at 11600 kills combined and still Deadly...

How are you counting your combat kills?
On the screen, it counts bounties claimed not kills. If you use a KWS you will often get more than one bounty per kill - especially with higher ranked targets. If there is a way of counting actual kills with bounty hunting when using KWS then that would be great.
Combat bonds is one kill, one bond - so the quickest way to rack up the kill count is combat bonds - or don't use a KWS, then you will have one bounty per kill.

Combining the two unfortunately those are the only metrics we have. The vast majority are combat bonds though kind of makes me wish I didn't bounty hunt.

anyone know what the Exploration Elite figure is at, I cant see the just carte blance doubling the figures just because they upped the exploration data amount, I was already over 30 million in data before that happened with elite reported as 100 million, if they just doubled it id need 170 il to elite from there but at most if doubled after what I previously had should be 140 million, so it don't add up, I am currently on 102.5 million with 6287 systems visited and I have no idea now how far I have to go to reach elite, do I do a short trip and get a few more mill or a long trip and get 98 mill to make it a round 200., not sure im ready for another long haul trip atm tho

Hasn't been changed in 1.2 imo.

I reached dangerous pre-1.2 with 4200 bounties and 135 bonds (a lot of double/triple bounties, so actuall kills is much lower)

went on a big exploration trip and came back post 1.2. bought myself a vulture and went to combat zones focusing on high rank any ship and big ships any rank. Reached Elite last night.

Dangerous to deadly was a tad under 2000 Combat bonds.
deadly to Elite was a tad over 4000 Combat bonds.


that matches pretty much the numbers from all the earliest Elite CZ farmers who got to Elite afaik.
