Has Frontier said anything about the missing station news reports?

Before 3.0, stations used to maintain their own media outlets, such as the North Ring Gazette, Bryd Plant Sun etc. After 3.0 that all disappeared. Now the only thing in the station news is traffic report, faction summary and top 5 bounties. I realize Frontier might have bigger bugs to deal with at the moment, but have they said anything about this? Not only do these reports add a nice touch, they are also very useful when determining when a conflict began.
