Has NPC Firepower Changed

So after the last "covert" update it seems the NPC's are on steroids.

I am flying a fully engineered Vette and before the patch could happily spend time in a CNB and kill at will to level my fighter pilot but now they seem to have super weapons that actually hurt.

Not complaining as it is a better challenge but has anyone else noticed this?
 
As much as we may wish it was the case, likely you've been hit with a couple of extra rams which dented your shields more than you would usually see.

A recent political assassination mission where I was focused by 7 NPCs and the 550mj biweave on my FdL was in no danger of dropping leads me to believe nothing has changed.
 
Think they had an attempt at fixing the carrier sc bug. Well it seems stable but still changes your route you plotted or somewhere in a system. Annoying still. You end up flying to someone else's Carrier if your not paying attention. Or jumping to the wrong system

Thats not stable at all. Yesterday I noticed the bookmark of my own carrier mentioned the correct name, but the wrong callsign, it was at a wrong location as well. For some reason, bookmarks get de-synced over time, still. Not sure why you think it was fixed, as the release notes never mentioned it would be fixed.
 
Reason is when I'm in a crowded fc system like Iam atm I end up with all kinds of hell. Orange sideys sc fixated infinite tunnels = relog so on so forth.
Just of late...none of these things. Exceot the changing of where I've selected routewise
