Has Something Changed Recently ?

My ship is a 'A' specked Python which I have used for months for Bounty Hunting. My rank is Elite in combat and usually have no trouble taking down Elite Anacondas and everything below. Over the last couple of days in High RES sites I have noticed my Shields going down fairly quickly and the usual easy NPC kills are becoming much more challenging.

Just wondering if FD have done something behind the scenes as I haven't seen an update after 2.0.03 ? - or is it just me going through a bad spell !!

Yeah, it got a nerf. Although no one can figure out what. Lol
SCBs got a heat penalty, and the Python got a handling nerf.

But I have no idea why the shields are worse.

On top of that some NPCs now have turret rails apparently. And use rails alot more.

I think the Python got minor handling buff (roll is now Vulture-like), but the shields have gone from legendary to average. Only saw FD talk about the FdL buff, but I think a few ships got some less publicized tweaks.

I had a wing of Eagles / Cobras take down my shields in short order. I believe they were using railguns. Nasty little weapons those.

I experienced that instances of Haz Res can vary very much in difficulty. Sometimes I can just blow up one ship after another, other times I have to very carefully choose my targets.

Apart from various bugs that I have noticed in a thread I recently started, some NPCs can be challenging. Mostly Federal Assault/Gunships for me, when they can match my Pythons agitlity and firepower.

I dislike very much that FD plays around with ship stats, especially without telling. It would be better if we could choose what patches we apply to our game, of course after reading a comprehensive list of patch notes. Honestly, I don't want to be bothered through refitting/rechoosing ships after every patch - that is simply not realistic. If you buy a car, it would not arbitrarily change it's stats every few weeks.

I think NPC ships and their associated AIs got buffed. I notice a lot more ships carrying PAs and a lot more accuracy with them too. I think that's why we're seeing our shields going down much more quickly.

I wouldn't mind the tweaks if we could see the stats updated in game on the shipyard screen. Most players learn the 2 Agility rating on the Imperial Clipper is not accurate.

I may be wrong, but I think that the agility number relates mostly to stopping distance, which has an impact on manoeuvrability, but, unless you are in a Cutter, is not half as important as many people believe it to be.

Thank goodness for that. I thought it was just me. My RES monster Python has been having to run away from Anacondas with broken shields much more often since 1.5 hit. I thought it was just because I've been flying my post 1.5 FdL which is a major shield tank and the Python just felt weak compared to that.
