Has something gone a bit wrong with Lighting?

Hey all,

I've not really played in some time, other that allowing the game to update, then checking it still launched.

Went in-game today, and headed off to visit The Dweller. Approaching the planet the area Black Hide resides is deep in shadow. As I get close it gets lighter despite still very much being on the night side of the planet. Next it gets a little darker again, then the cabin on my Type 10 is VERY brightly illuminated, like a cockpit light had just been turned on - i.e the light source was from behind my position, certainly inside the ship. The heightened contrast makes the planet seem darker still, but the various structural elements of the cockpit are dazzlingly bright. This super illumination fades after a short while, but was quite excessive while it lasted. Finally, closer still and about to enter Glide, well, it's now totally and utterly pitch-black both inside and outside, externally, I can only see the lights from the base.

All this time I was deep in the shadow of the planet, so I really don't know what's going on with lighting. I've not changed my settings in ages, but I did notices that the detail of the planetary surface was more pixelated / grainy than usual.

I lighting can be quirky at times, but this was quite an extreme example. Has something changed with Update 15 in this regard.

Anyway, hello all, I'm back for a bit and full of questions as usual lol.

I think this effect has been toned down, IMO it used to be even worse in u14.

Do check your graphics settings as AFAIK updating to u15 turned on FSR yet again.
