Has the Colonia region become the new "Eastern Front"?

I've noticed in recent times that many Colonia Faction feuds seem to be basically Ukraine vs Russia (ICU Colonial Corps).

It would be nice if real-world politics were absent from the game as this can create a toxic environment. I've been around Colonia for a few years now, but I'm beginning to feel like heading back to the Bubble just to escape it.

That's just numerically likely - ICU is present in 69 systems and UCA in 42, and more importantly ICU is a non-controlling presence in 53 and UCA a non-controlling presence in 31, so that's a lot of systems where random BGS movements that can lead to conflicts with those two parties.

Even with them being likely, I think you're overestimating both how many of these there are and how seriously anyone is taking them. There appear to be 20 current conflicts in the Colonia region, and just one of them is ICU vs UCA (and that one seems to be a 1-1 tie with 4 drawn days, so it's not as if anyone is actually showing any interest in fighting it for either side).

ICU vs [other faction] is 6 conflicts ; UCA vs [other faction] is 3 conflicts. Again, no pattern there of either attacking the other as a deliberate strategy. Both ICU and UCA are involved in 1 system control conflict each ... but not against each other.
