has this game moved on yet

was wondering is it worth re downloading this game yet ,
haven't played for a few month but from what i'm reading on the forum
things haven't changed at all since engineers .
Is there a big update coming in the near future that will differ from what we usually get
or is it transporting invisible passengers about in your cargo hold .
Are the engineers still lifeless cardboard cutouts

not sure where exactly you're expecting it to "move on" to. but no, no significant changes since engineers.
next big update is mid october, so maybe check back then.

Same mechanics and gameplay, but you'll be doing different things.

Passenger missions are looking to be like transporting a box of rocks that occasionally makes you detour.

Engineers are not really lifeless cardboard but high-quality .pngs with sentences attached to them. Their upgrades are the next logical step if you've maxed out your modules.

You can download it in an instant!:D

Can someone please make a thread with "what's changed since". I no longer can muster the energy to respond to these threads...

The patch notes are unwieldy I agree but google a chap called Obsidian Ant has summarised the updates pretty well so go check those and if you still have questions come back. I can no longer be fussed to do other people's research for them and try to work out if the game is right for them now or not.

To the OP, sorry you got the brunt of this but these threads are popular at the moment and the last one I was on the OP just wanted to troll. I'm sure you are genuinely interested but again there are places to get a pretty succinct summary so you can ask specific question rather than vague ones that depend on your personal opinion and view of the game.

I'm sure you are genuinely interested

What makes you so sure?

I think the OP of this thread is trying to troll just like any one of these threads. If they actually wanted to learn something, they wouldn't be so vague and insulting, proposing only baited questions.

The only problem is, OP is really bad at trolling. If they had the millionth of the skill the developers have shown making the game at trolling, this would be a slug fest right now.

I'm British, being overly polite is ingrained into me. Also everybody gets one pass, I've been building an ignore list lately which I believe now tops 150 people so I do try my best to give the benefit of the doubt... I guess responses will determine if it grows or not :p
Also I'm in a good mood, I fly away on holiday tomorrow.

Just wait a few weeks, so the game gets a instant ship teleport function. Whole game becomes dumbed down CQC. [wacko]

This is funny, on par with something my 7 year old would say. Thanks for the laughs. Question, did you stomp your foot and fold your arms as you said it?

I think David Braben's probably laughing in his office right now, the disappointment No Man's Lie generated is just increase sale for both ED and SC.

Of course he does. It'll happen again when SC ships SQ42 as a pretty mediocre single player game and PU turns out to be a MVP, lacking a plethora of promises they made.

No wonder he is so excited about the rebirth of the space game genre.
