Has this happened to anyone?

The strangest thing happened the other day. I was in my ship, and while jumping to another system and I was knocked out of space and my ship when crazy out of control. Everything went black and then silence. Looking into the blackness of space, a white glowing Thargoid flew up to my ship started talking to me. In a soothing voice it told me that the universe is now locked in place because the computer Gods have abandoned this universe and moved on. What is now, is what will always be. Humanity is dying off in this universe and only the strongest will survive. You do have the option to fly into any black hole and be reborn in the PC universe.

Then it left and I could see the stars again. I felt dread, as if it was a bad dream.

I have never been hyperdicted, of all of the gameplay loops in ED that is actually the one where I think I've missed out

Go get a Thargoid Sensor at a Non Human Signal source (keep relogging until just a sensor appears in the instance), don't shoot it, just collect it with a collector limpet.
It is corrosive and I suspect that any hyperspace jump with this in your hold will cause you to get interdicted by a Thargoid.
Was quite scary and the Thargoid disabled my ship, but when it powered back up, I jumped out again and got interdicted again.
I jettisoned it and jumped OK.

At least that's better than what could happen to you in the original Elite... back then you had a 5% or so chance of your engine failing during your hyperspace jump. If it did, you'd be trapped in Thargoid space until it repaired itself. Depending on your combat rank, you'd have to destroy a certain number of Thargoids before your engines repaired and you could re-do your jump. In that game you (only) had Pulse, Burst or Military lasers - if you didn't have Military ones, you probably wouldn't survive and you'd be reloading your last save game :)

Tbh i would have shat myself as i remained calm 🙃
