Newcomer / Intro Hatchbreaker limpet controller out of ammo??

Just bought a hatchbreaker-limpet controller at a station to prep for a hostage rescue mission. Found my mark, but it says my hatchbreaker is out of ammo. I visited several stations trying to refill, but the 'restock' option is unavailable (I am at max ammo for my hardpoints). I have plenty of cargo space (currently flying an Adder with 18 cargo spaces).

What gives?

It's under "Advanced Maintenance". o7, cmdr.

Go to Advanced Maintenance in station services to buy Limpets.

To be more specific: Limpet controllers do not have internal ammo. They use limpets that must be stored in your cargo racks. You can buy them as described above, but they will not auto restock.

Assuming you have empty cargo space and the correct materials in stock you can synthesise them four at a time.
Otherwise as stated above go to advanced maintenance and restock, limpets are usually at the bottom of the list.
