Hauler for 8000

Why is the hauler a percentage of my assets? I was at a station, and saw a hauler for 8000. I had my cargo full, so I had to finish my current trade run, when I got back, the hauler was 24000, which was like 80% of my current value... which would have left me with no money to do an effective trade. I bought some goods, and rechecked the price and it was back down to 8000. I tried to buy one, hoping we could just transfer the current cargo, but it said I had to empty my cargo hold first.

The price shown in the ship yard is the amount of actual liquid assets it'll cost you, after all deductions have been made for your current ship + equipment + cargo.

That's why it fluctuates when you buy/sell cargo.

One station is selling it for 8000 the other is selling it for 24000.

The station you are buying your cargo at is a cheaper place to buy the hauler than the place your selling it at.

Get to the station before you buy the cargo, buy the hauler, then fill up with cargo.

Forget that I just tested it. It does actually take into account your cargo now. It never used to do that.

I dont why they changed it that way.
