Have a look at NPC Vocalizer

I've been following this program and have used versions 1.0 and 1.1. It's a great idea that uses .wav files and the player journal to add NPC voices to ED. The big untapped potential here is that it's very easy to add new voice packs.

It's available for download at this prestigious address.

My only quibble is that the program doesn't detect all the text messages from the journal, so it's kicking in less often than you'd expect. But it's a pretty neat idea!

Yeah, I downloaded this just the other day, it's really cool.
We should get the community working on recording more voices for it!

Can you reduce the voice distortion? Odyssey includes more NPC voice acting.

They are audio files, so, well, no. But new voices could be recorded with no distortion.

Could ask the creator if they have the none modified voice files, as they show their workflow which included overlaying the radio noise and using a filter.

Unfortunately the site they used to generate the voices is now down, seems they went out of business, so can't just generate new ones.

Cool idea, but I don't want to hear people using CBs in the future.

Better tell frontier that then, so they can remove all the radio static from their voice acting! :)

Might be a good suggestion to the creator though, to programmatically add some radio chatter, so that it can be turned off as an option
