Have abandon confirmation on Missions

After frustratingly by complete accident abandoning about 3 or 4 missions tonight (I had about 10-15 on the go at once) I feel there should be a confirmation if you wish to abandon a mission from your target panel.

It came about as I was quickly trying to flick through each of the missions to see what cargo I needed to grab to take back,
so the sequence of events went:

down arrow, space, ok that's what I need for that one, space to go back,
down arrow, space, ok thats what I need for that, down arrow, space, ahhhh!! Didn't mean to abandon that!

So yeah, this caught me out a few times, it would be nice at times like this to have a "are you sure you want to abandon this mission?" dialogue, failing that, a change in the way the missions are displayed in the UI to give a bit more information so I don't have to manually go through each one would also be handy!

Slow down and pay attention. Be conscious of what you're doing. Your carelessness does not mean that there is a fault in the game. Also, my sig.

I realise you like to be very elitest in your posts (yes i looked at your post history to see if you were making an exception for me, but no, all your answers are paraphrased to "no, you are just an idiot", very constructive of you.) however this is not a fault of the game no, i didn't once say it was the fault of the game, however the safety net would be handy as like you and everybody else, we are only human and will make mistakes and it can be very frustrating, but i don't want to spend half an hour checking the mission list to see what else i need to get, so some way of making it easier to see what i need to get or even just a safety net so i can fly through them would be nice.

I concur with the OP. When you're scanning through a lot of missions in the transactions tab or the bulletin board, it's pretty easy to abandon a mission by mistake and that can have heavy repercussions on the player's progress for what is a *very* minor misclick.

Only losers make mistakes, amirite?

Plus one to OP. I'm usually pretty careful, too, but sometimes you just slip -- and of course, it will always happen on the 1,000,000cr mission to take a ton of biowaste on a trip from one side of a planet, all the way to the near side of the moon of that same planet.

I'm glad you can get passed the juvenile act of taking things personally and instead can learn and grow as a pilot from my advice. That is exactly what is intended! :) Grats, mate.

No, not at all. Only losers continue to make mistakes and don't learn from the mistakes they've already made.

Cheers, I hope you also can grow from this and be more constructive in future than greeting new users with the L2P philosophy :)

And I'm sure you've never made the same mistake more than once in your life, however small ;)

I'm glad there are others that have had the same issue however :) Hopefully they will consider doing something to aid us in some way! Be it through clumbsyness control or more verbose UI on the listing screen.

Being quite honest, been there done that, they still whine and complain and don't listen and it's become irritatingly pointless. It seems like the only way to get their attention is to smack them in the face with an old shoe. The intelligent ones take heed and grow. The others are going to continue to whine and complain no matter what so nothing lost from their pool.

Yeah, I've made plenty of mistakes and I was a huge loser making the same mistake over and over and over again. Then I grew up and got some guidance from someone who didn't sugar coat things. Sink or swim, your choice sort of thing. It was one of the fastest ways to grow up and learn to pay attention. When you make good decisions over the course of time, you develop good habits. Now it's just a habit to do things like proof read my posts before submitting to make sure I'm not making grammatical or spelling errors. Now I habitually check my compass when docking to see where my pad is so I don't have to cry about the pad not being lit up. Now I habitually check my radar to make sure that pulling the trigger won't cost me a bounty because I didn't see that authority ship flying in from the side.

All of it is habit because I've learned to learn from my mistakes and admit when I'm wrong and realize that just because something failed doesn't mean that it's everthing else's fault but mine (like blaming the game for an event that occurred out of being lazy or ignorant).

That's kind of my point. :-\

These so-called problems wouldn't be problems if people would just pay attention in the first place. Oh no, something didn't go my way! It must be someone else's fault! :p
