Have AutoDock disable weapons

I recently have the unfortunate experience of being melted by a station within 2 seconds due to a weapons misfire caused by my touchpad that will not turn off while autodock had just taken over. I am worried that you can still fire while autodocking and incur the wroth of the station Which can make the game unplayable (I was flying A python that I had just recently lost to another potential issue and did not have the insurance money to cover it hence me now waiting outside the game to see if I will be able to rebuy once the community goal finishes otherwise i might be out 44 million credits which will take a minimum of 40 hours of ingame grinding to recover if not more which I am currently not willing to spend.)

Why are you going into a station with your weapons extended? As I remember, if you hit a trigger on your weapons, they have to extend first before they can fire and then tap it again in order to get them to fire.

Also why do you only have 1 fire group? Even on my ships, I have at least 3 and on my Fighter, I happen to have 4.

I like the suggestion but think this is trying to solve a problem with a lazy user.

The thing is that my touchpad is really sensitive and I didn't notice the weapons were out because I was focused on getting into the station before letting autodock take over. I let the ship slow down insde the station and as I am minding my own business my hand slips over it again which caused issues. Now I have pulse lasers and it wouldn't matter whether I used one binding or not because the second it fires 3 hits are detected which is enough to set the station off. And yes I prefer pulse lasers but it's because I don't want my heat getting messed up If I am hunting another ship that is as big or larger and then having a weapons malfunction because of it.

hmm! It's odd you also completely ignored the klaxons and the warning/fine that you get for those weapons being extended. Experience has shown me (in my occasional errors) that these warning happen within 3 seconds of their extension and starts the instant you hit the toaster rack.

Until this suggestion is considered, I would have more than 1 fire group. Swap out of the weapons group when you come out of supercruise at the station. This will save you the rebuy.
