Have Fleet Carriers Killed Community Goals?

Doubtful - the Dolphin has nearly the same cargo capacity, but is far faster and more agile
Yes, I also think the trade-off in speed/agility for the whopping 4% more cargo probably makes it worse in total cargo per hour. But that won't stop the threads complaining about it, we're in a thread complaining about something purchased with credits... imagine a ship that no one else can obtain anymore.

Below dolphin/cobra mk4 tier it is unfortunately a pit - vulture/cobra mk3 carry about 30% less.

Nah, I think they allow players to make a more concentrated effort and promote bgs play in groups. Furthermore, they can benefit other cmdrs if the goods are open to be purchased via the carrier

And the Type 6 will be in the same boat as the type 7......

And that is a problem only FDEV can fix unfortunately. Nevertheless, I'll be bringing mine. Heck, I'm currently doing all the ground mission stuff in it when I actually play.
OT... that's interesting. I've taken a Vulture usually, but have started to find it's fitout... constricting.

A Cobra seems a much better idea.

First, I haven't run any community goals in quite a while. By that I mean since Fleet Carriers.

As I understand it, Fleet Carriers can now be used to haul goods for cargo oriented Community Goals. Is that the case?

If so, I can not see any way that a single pilot can compete. I remember purchasing my initial T9 during, and specifically for, a Community Goal (The wake that involved fish, as I recall). Since then it has become my favourite ship. However, there is no way it can be competitive with a Fleet Carrier.

Back to my point, I am asking because once I heard about it, it killed all Community Goal interest for me, are Fleet Carriers being used to haul Community Goal goods? If so, is there some other way for regular players to play, or is this just the end of Community Goals?
It's not really as much of an advantage as youd think. I typically dont have much trouble scoring high in a CG with just a plain T9. It's not like the FC owners can just dump 25,000T of goods all at once and some of them even sell the needed comodities for profit and dont even participate in CG.

I saw

someone in the chat say a good station for the aclor cg goods were only two jumps away without a fleet carrier. Fleet carriers help but it's not a make or break by what I saw.
