CQC Have not been able to get a match for a week now

Hi there,

I have sat in the queue for 2 hours at a time, and have not managed to get into a game of Deathmatch.

Can someone please let me know the peak times? I sit in queue from 4pm - 6pm and 8pm - 10PM GMT+12 and cannot get a game.

According to the CQC Tournament details, we need to play games to qualify :/

I've sat in the queue for several hours at various times of the day to no avail.

There must be something wrong with the matchmaking system, because this is apparently a widespread and persistent issue.

I haven't tried for most of this week, but I tried all timezones over the last weekend. Logged in early my time for evening in UK, then a few hours later to try for US game. No go, then tried later on Saturday evening and not a single game in AU timezone.

I was searching around on the support forums for any reported issues with CQC but there is nothing in the 10 pages I perused & cant seem to find the known issues list anymore. I can only assume that there is no issues and there are actually no-one playing? I assume they wouldnt go ahead with the tournament if there were issues to address (but I may be wrong).

Has anyone actually contacted Frontier about this, or got any official response on the status of CQC? I haven't myself but considering there seems to be a lot of people in the same boat I wonder if someone has or if Frontier would like to comment & give us a reason to keep waiting and waiting in the queues.

At one stage, someone joined the lobby with me, 30 minutes later they left, came back in 20, I then left and rejoined the queue, put back into same lobby.

Looks like no CQC Tourney for me :( - (trying to get 5:1 KD in Deathmatch before time ends, but nope.png)

From the tournament thread:

We've found that with good numbers matchmaking is working. There are always tweaks and imporvaments but a lot of match making issues come from lack of players at a specific time.

The thing is, if you join a game and then leave, then you try to rejoin, it still takes 20+ minutes to get back into that same game.

I've been having similar issues. If I am going to get a match, it takes about 5 to 10 minutes to be put in a match, but it often takes about 30 to 40 minutes of loading for the system to finally tell me it can't connect with the transaction server, and it seems that this is a reoccurring pattern.

Either something is very wrong and Frontier doesn't see it, or they know about it and are ignoring it.

Yeah it's been a long time for me as well. I don't sit and wait though. When I log on sometimes I'll go into CQC. I try team deathmatch and if nothing is happening after a couple of minutes I try deathmatch and if that doesn't work I'll either switch back or go straight to open play. I used to wait longer but don't see the point. Time is precious.

I haven't tried for a while now. I know I haven't been able to find a CTF match since early CQC beta. I think I've managed to get into a couple of Deathmatch matches since the official release. Aside from getting involved with CGs and things, I just got sick of waiting.

Since early on, I have said that I would love to have modes available where you could compete with NPCs filling the teams. This was during beta when they were having problems with matchmaking. I still stand by that request. I get that it is supposed to be player skill against player skill. But if people aren't able to play it at all, they're just going to lose interest and not even try again. I would rather at least keep the mode usable by backfilling with NPCs so that players can experience what it is like and hopefully keep on trying until player numbers become sufficient for true PvP-only matches.
