I've been doing the engineer unlocks, and often need to bring rares to do it.
Invariably, when I research the rare to find out where to get it, I also find the allocation data - however, the allocations are roughly four times what I am actually able to buy - I had it with the brandy, the tea, the cigars. Now, with the ale, I'm supposedly able to get sixteen tons, but when I go there, I find I can only buy four. I was wondering why - were people making too much money with them, and they got nerfed?
I'm not doing it to make money, but it means what I was planning to do in two trips actually takes me seven (I need to do an extra run for the last 1t of ale!). Two runs I wouldn't mind, but seven just seems pointlessly grindy. Don't get me wrong, my complaint is not the enormity of it - I really enjoyed my 5,000LY odyssey to unlock Palin and that took me far longer than this will, but I had stuff to discover, and check out, and keep the interest up, whereas seven round trips of eight jumps each just seems like a rather mean-spirited obstacle, where something a bit more engaging could have existed.
