Have they decided on how they're going to implement the new planet surface scans in the system mapyet?

I heard literally 50 or so jerks who actually care about stuff that doesn't effect them screamed and wined loud enough so now you're going to have to do a surface scan of a planet to get the new planet surface in the system map.

Is this still true or has frontier come to their senses?

I see no reason why Frontier can't put a toggle in the functions menu to make both parties happy. Even though the 50 or so people's demands are ridiculous.

As things are supposed to go live on Tuesday, there will be little change except that you'll get a nice map for bodies you've looked at. It could have been much worse.

That type of attitude towards topics like this is extremely ignorant.

Explain to me how it could be worse?

The mechanic is         useless now.

The point of it was to have a preview of a planet before you lugged your massive         ship 1000's of ls to the planet.

It's like nothing changed :O


Shocking for Frontier to do something like that....again.
