Have they fixed the game enough to allow offline play yet?

I would love to play the game as I bought it still, with offline play. Have they been able to fix the bad code enough to finally allow this feature they sold me on?

No offline because 80% or something of the game's features would not be available.

Let it go man. If you bought this game JUST for that feature you bought it for the wrong reasons.

I am like you, I would love to see an offline version but sadly, it ain't going to happen, in my life or the one after that. (solo play is the closest you will ever get).

Go to www.oolite.org and download their game t(free and open source) that can be played offline... it is a single player in a playing field of 8 galaxies that have You(a solo player) and loads of NPCS and Thargons. You are not limited to what you want to be but like Elite, you pay for what you become. Plus the game has a small enough footprint that it can be downloaded onto a thumb drive and can carried from computer to computer without a lot of fanfair.

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
Sorry, but this topic is way beyond beating a dead horse at this point. Also, the original post seems more interested in an argument than a discussion, so I'm going to close this.
