Have Thustmaster Hotas - what do I do with Xbox controler - Oculus Rift arrives Monday

OK - have to admit I'm confused.

I have been using a Thrustmaster Hotas X for the past year. My Oculus Rift arrives Monday.

I'm assuming I just don't use the included Xbox controller - leave it in the box. Is that correct?

Or do I connect both for some reason? (I think I have enough USB's for both.)

Just planning ahead (with great anticipation!)

hold onto it, though. Eventually we'll be walking around our ships and that just won't do with a HOTAS

You will need it for other games (Hah!), it its useful for watching 360 videos and stuff like that.

Oooohh +1 to you sir!!.

I havent bothered going in the buggy since i got the rift as I couldn't face the hassle I had last time of trying to map all the controls for it, a HOTAS doesn't feel right for driving a buggy but the controller would do fine.
