Have We Tried dumping Mystic Unclassified Relic Near Orthrus?

From watching Frame Shift Live this week and hearing Arthur mention that we have not seen all Signal Sources Events, it got me brainstorming if it has something to do with the new Msystic Unclassified Relic.

I was thinking maybe this new relic when given to the Orthrus will cause it to at a minimum freak out do a new yell, or as a bigger surprise stop an invasion much faster than doing missions and killing goids. Maybe if it detects the relic when probing, it will think the system is already invaded by them or an even scarier enemy (guardian/tharogid hybrid).

Nope. But try feeding an Unclassified Relic to a Thargoid and running the screeching it emits through a spectrum analyzer:

Note the series of humanoid looking skulls with tusks or mandibles ~1000Hz. There might also be some data encoded ~100Hz.

Alas it has been tried by several people and (aside from an unconfirmed report which may have turned out to simply be accidental rammming) it proved innefective (i.e. the Orthrus wouldn't scoop it). Shame because it's a really brilliant idea.

Note, I haven't tried to feed an orthrus an Unclassified Relic. Note the reaction from Thargoids is unique in that they'll react like you're holding guardian cargo if you have unclassified relics in your hold, but they'll scoop them (as opposed to destroying them, like normal guardian cargo) if you jettison them.

Nothing else of interest, other than noting that like other Thargoid items, presenting five or more for them to scoop, they'll call in a helper.
