Haven't played in months, what's the status of ED and VR?

Haven't played in months and months. ED's VR was a mess when I left, just wondering if it's gotten any better?

I use a DK2, last time I tried ED didn't support it anymore past runtime .5.

I really don't have the heart to mess with a bunch of crap trying to force the DK2 to work with the latest runtime, if it's been fixed I'll give it another go. Here's hoping FD has spent a day or two to get .8 runtime working, it really ain't that hard for them to do.

Although not tried it myself but seems to work for most with minimal messing around, it's worth a try as if you haven't experienced looking around from a planet surface (another jaw dropping moment in VR)

Thanks, unfortunately I tried that and it didn't work for me

This is what I did. When I follow what other people did it didn't work. Not sure why.

install steam
switch to steam to beta participation
installed steam vr
switch steam vr to beta participation
install Elite outside of steam (via launcher)
make sure DK2 is turned on
launch steam
launch game via launcher
set display to stereo headphones

Results will vary apparently.
