I quite like what I see, however there are many reminders of why I stopped playing for so long. There is a recurring issue when I seem to get jumped by Vultures that causes me to be unable to get a lock on the target ship. Only seems to happen with Vultures (so far) I have no trouble with other ships, but it is irritating not to be able to fight back!

Another issue is that when I switch to Discovery mode I keep getting the message that I am in the wrong mode and to R Shift Del to get in the correct mode, (although I am) it still works though.

I also get messages saying I have new Codec and to Press to see, the only issue is "Press what?".

I know there are lots of new features to explore and handle, having limpets attached to my cargo hold is one that is new to me, and I cannot seem to find out where this is covered.

Its because of this I am playing in Solo mode until I find my feet again.

Anyone know any answers to the above?

If you have a weapon in active firegroup then you get the wrong mode notice, basically anything that should be used in the other mode.

You need to assign a key to the "Open Codex" bind. If you had a key (or button) assigned it would have said "Press ]", for example, assuming "]" is what you had set.

By "...having limpets attached to my cargo hold... " - are you referring to hatch-breaker limpets? There is quite a good guide to the game, kept up to date, stickied in the newcomer's forum if you want to look at that to check on stuff. Of course there is also the Wiki to tell you about stuff too.
