Having trouble retrieving rebel transmissions ...

Hi all,

i got ED for xmas and am slowly getting into it.

I am having trouble with a fetching mission where i have to go to a system and find 2 rebel transmissions and return them.

I jump to the system and can see a USS while i'm at supercruise, i target the USS, i then have to leave supercruise in order to scoop my cargo (assuming this USS is one of my rebel transmissions).

My problem is that as soon as i leave supercruise i lose targeting on the USS and can't find it anywhere.

Is it something i'm doing wrong ?

When you arrive at the USS, are you waiting for the blue message that says, "Safe Disengage Now" or something like that? You need to be at a distance < 1Mm if I remember correctly before that message pops up.

When you target a destination, you'll see this display in the bottom left...

It shows you how far away the target is, and how fast you are going.

To safely drop out of supercruise and into an Unidentified Signal Source (USS) you need to make sure that both the distance and speed are within the "blue" parts of the bars to the left. When this happens, the ship lets you know that it is safe to drop out of supercruise. (This is the 'J' key by default.)

I hope you find those Rebel Transmissions Commander! :)
