Astronomy / Space Hawking backs interstellar travel project

It makes me think did our human species initially came from another planet or star which came to colonised this Earth, or did we evolve naturally here from original fundamental building blocks?

Our species definitely evolved here. There's tons of evidence of that, beyond fossils, we even have a couple of percent neanderthal DNA, except for a few aboriginal Africans whose ancestors never got close enough to... mingle with neanderthals. ;) And of course the similarities between our DNA and the other forms of life on this world. Our DNA is very similar to chimp DNA, for example.

But yeah, it's an interesting concept to think about none the less. :)

Cool. I have been thinking along the lines of if Adam and Eve were the first spacemen. :)

"Say, mind if Adam and I take the camper out and visit Earth for the weekend? Sorry about that apple thing, by the way. Hope you're not too upset..." :D

*Fortunately doesn't hear any thunder in the distance.*

Or...

OR...

Maybe we've entered a period of propulsion development/distance.. where the next generation of propulsion is so fast that it actually beats the last generation to it's intended target?

How wild would that be?
