Hay where's ma dot?

I recently setup my joystick and seem to have lost my dot, the one in the center of the screen, i have been getting by using the little circle thing for aiming but i am missing my dot, i have tried difrent things to get it back but no luck so far, do you know how to get it back?

I believe the dot is related to having certain control functions assigned to the mouse. What I did when using my joystick is only disable the pitch and roll axis for the mouse. New I fly with the joystick and still have the central "dot".

In options look for Display Mouse Widget...turn that on and your dot will return

"Show Mouse Widget" under control options - still works if using a stick apparently, though I've not tried myself got used to it not being there pretty quick.

I think the dot vanishes if you have the "look around" mode (whose name I forget) turned on. Possibly if you have a control permanently assigned for looking around, you may have the mode always on?
