Haz / High res ?

I first started seeing High res sites after Horizons launched so I assumed that FD had dropped the intensity, from the name.

As I am on a bit of a mission to get to combat Elite I have been haunting res sites for targets. Unfortunately, I am finding it increasingly difficult to find a fight. I gave up on high intensity as they were just too boring, prior to Horizons. So headed off to Hazardous, a bit of a gamble as when I used to drop into them prior to 1.5 I usually got my rs handed to me by wings of ninja npc’s that blew me away.

Nowadays nothing I could sit there all day plenty of scans but no one opens up on me. So I pick a fight with any valuable target just to see their expression change. (+1 rep for anyone who gets that cinema reference) Tonight I ended up hiding behind a rock with four other NPC pythons all deadly or above all wanted and three were in a wing. But we were all there wondering who would open up first, no one did. So apart from my purchase of Reactive Surface Composite seemingly rendering me invisible back to the res nomenclature.

Are there now three types of more challenging res sites? Hazardous, High and high intensity? The only thing I have noticed is I never see any men in green in the high res sites although I am pretty sure they had already abandoned me in high intensity as well as I hardly ever see any there either.

You scan everything, and kill the wanted ones if you want to become Elite quickly. I don't understand why you wait until they shoot you because nobody will unless you carry a ton of gold.

Another place to go is compromised nav beacons. They can be a bit lively. Don't forget that you get more points towards becoming Elite by killing an Elite Sidewinder than a Dangerous Anaconda.

Up to 1.3 if you angered a faction enough they would start shooting you on sight. That was far more exciting in my opinion, now even a HazRES is just a target shooting range unless you take on entire wings alone.

You don't have to KWS them - in a HazRes (or any other RES). Just target them and your standard scanner will tell you if they are wanted or not. If they are then just shoot. If you want a clue as to who to target then just watch who messages you with the usual "what are you carrying" or whatever - these are the pirates and are always wanted. Clippers and FDL's are always wanted as well, and usually Vultures.
