Haz rez are too easy.

Beef up the npc ships in a haz rez. Seems the only haz in the rez is me.
Npc ships are easily destroyed just like other res sites. But this is supposed to be the hardest res site so make it so

NPCs have different loadouts from E to A and ingeneered or not. Hardest res sites are lack of police protection and definetely harder ships and more experienced pilots(master-elite). I can feel difference between ez and hard spots.
Ez for you? Just stop using overengineered Corvette.

Im using a dbscout with rails atm but for farming em with wing I just think it should be alot harder even for a vette

Then visit pirate activity signals, i saw some level 6 in Sol. These pirates are much harder. Or take Elite missions to kill pirate. They can be compared to special forces on conflict zones and even harder.
Hard res sites are not pirate's dens with juggernauts inside, after all.

I get all that. Indeed I do just that...10 ton of gold in hold etc. But I'm talking about the whole experience in a haz rez. Should be on a par with a medium cz or something. Perhaps 4 to a wing instead of just 3. And yes on a par with threat 6 pirates would be lush...it would make the experience alot more fun.
Leaving the lower res sites to noobs to farm.

No
Really no.
If you find them too easy, it just means you got there using the wrong ship - try a small ship or try a non engineered ship
Then see if they are too easy

For more engaging combat, more suited for engineered ships try: Medium CZ, Wing pirate assassination missions or Pirate threat 6 USS.

Tell me what haz res you're farming in Open, and I'll bring the party to you ;)

Traditionally in game design it's not the player's job to balance encounters.

Although I agree as things stand it is more fun to dress down for RES sites, if there's no content that matches or even vaguely tests the limits of player-controlled ships that would generally be considered a dev problem.

But as other people pointed out, HAZRES is not meant to be the top-tier of combat challenge. Pirate signal sources, combat zones, and Thargoids are meant to be this "end game" challenge (though I think Frontier screwed up by gating Thargoids behind special Thargoid-only weapons).

This is MMO, so there's still players with different styles, experiences and tools. So, someone can think hard res site as ez, but someone still struggle there too.
Too easy for you? - take weaker ship, weaker loadout, visit harder places, take harder missions, PvP someone, attack thergoids with human guns, damn, reset your account!

Yeah you're not wrong. Combat zone ships and signal source pirate variants are still not particularly challenging, but certainly tankier. A less stretched health spectrum and more devious AI would be nice, but it is what it is.

Yes, indeed, but ED is not a traditional MMO and it has no Difficulty sliders.
So it should cater to players with all kind of combat skills.
Which means that different types of zones are designed for certain type of ships.

So i find it quite wrong to complain that a Haz Res is too easy for a murder boat.
Its like complaining that level 20 mobs are too eazy for a level 50 character in a normal mmo

The problem is in traditional MMO a level 50 character killing level 20 mobs would get no xp, no money and only useless loot
In ED killing non-engineered ships using murderboats is the last meta-making credits (massacre missions) 🤪

Regardless of genre, deliberately handicapping oneself shouldn't be an intended practice. There are somewhat harder NPC interactions, but not many and even these are a piece of cake in a top level ships. I don't necessarily disagree with the point you're making in isolation, but asking for NPCs to be a closer match to high level players isn't an unreasonable request, and the stock 'you're jus' playin' wrong' response is a little reductive.

I know exactly where you're coming from, I feel the same way about High CZs.

I'd love to see a new higher difficulty tier for both Res Sites & CZs.

I'd prefer some "clean pirate den's" missions and encounters, like small illegal stations(smaller than outposts) with heavy pirate(or suspicious persons) protection(station with turrets too) and pirate lords with heavy engineered ships - vette/conda/cutter-s - in and outside of bubble. And we have nice asteroid boom which can be applied to destroyed station. This will make more sense than titan ships which will rob tiny miners for 2 tons of minerals, imho
Well, i agree - we need some pirate lords to visit hard res sites too.

The entire point of a hazardous resourse site, the thing that makes it hazardous to someone, is that it's a resource site. It's supposed to be 'hazardous' within the context of trying to obtain resources there whilst getting shot at by every man and his dog, not within the context of someone who rocks up in a ship designed specifically and exclusively for combat with the intention of farming npcs.

As others have noted, there are other situations in game which are designed for that and whatever your opinion might be as to whether they do present a sufficient challenge for you, it is not a reason to make haz res sites more (or less) dangerous than they are currently because they aren't what the content is designed for.

So many people are missing the point here - a point which as noted above does have some relevance to high CZ sites which are designed specifically to offer a pure combat experience.

You just need to play the ship spawning logic. I think it gets more interesting as your combat rank increases. Though course wouldn’t know for sure my highest combat rank isn’t that high :)

I suspect the ship you’re in also makes a difference. There are some ships that are in a harder spot.. try going in a python. I remember even in a mildly engineered one I got annoyed enough to drop the ship as it always spawns ships that are too op for it.
