Haz rez at the CG

Blows ... i have no mobs on my screen and the biggest thing ive seen is a courier ... and only a master at that (im Dangerous)
Anyone else having issues?

It's just luck. First 2 days I got non-stop large and medium ships. Yesterday it was pretty slow and I got mostly small and some medium ships. Which was fine by me since I'd already hit 10% and only wanted to maintain so the slower pace was a good change.

My memory might be faulty but I seem to remember RESs being filled with dots in the early game, miners, security, constant flow of pirates. Now you can clear them out pretty easily leaving only one or 2 miners around. I wonder if it's a console limitation thing.

My main beef with RESs (apart from the fact that the shooting infinite spawning fish in a barrel is poor design imo) is the whole relogging to get a good seed. IF the infinite spawning pewpew design is what FD want then imo at least FD could do a more consistent job of it. It actually used to be ok however it's worse now because sometimes instances will be full of sirius ships etc (I assume these are power play targets)
Actually this was my hope if power play ever goes open only that all these ships will be block from spawning out of open. If there is no PP in solo then there should be no PP ships in solo either this will "improve" RES sites a lot (though I still think pirate hunting could be so much better and mining sites also)

Going solo, I had no problems the last three days. Was able to just skim into the 10% bracket yesterday evening.

Ony proble I have is that sometimes the instances start off slow, so I get bored and waste my ammo on small fry - when the big guys come along, I have to leave for reloading.

I suspect it's mainly that if you're taking on a RES with an early days ship (A-rated Asp, perhaps?) you're not going to get kills particularly quickly.

Whereas if you've got a wing of four engineered big ships taking down pirates for maximum CG points, you're going to run out of targets pretty quickly.

If you just hang around and watch for a bit - especially in a HazRES where the multiple wings of police won't also take them down fast - you can get quite a lots of ships built up.

I can clear out a HazRES in a Vulture myself now. Like I said, could be a bad memory, but it was just plain busier previously.

I'm late in this CG (usually I don't CGs at all). Last night I did my first visit in this HazRes in Open. What I saw was depressing: a blob of 5 commanders around 2 pitty NPCs, nothing else around but a few friendly NPCs. As the polite guy that I am (in RL and in games, but not always on this forum) I didn't want to steel some kills that were too less anyway for these Commanders.

So I decided to do what I always do: Solo. Another small detail that indicates that FD isn't really interested in supporting Open, it simply makes no sense in so many regards. Anyway, first instance in Solo then was quite decent, second too but third had only small fishes. I hope it was just bad luck and they have not suddenly 'nerved' this CG...
This situation is present in ED since launch, four years ago. I really hope FDev really adapts RESs in order to cater to an actual multiplayer environment!
It is really weird, with CGs, Wings, Multicrew and now Squadrons being added but dependent game loop is not changed accordingly...for years.

Didnt they get rid of RESs entirely in the Beta? Havent been back on in some time whats that situation like?

yeah, i was quite excited by this as i thought it was a portent for something new to replace them. (I had visions of missions to clear out a pirate infestation from an orbital platform and once clear and a set number of spawned pirates killed you could return for pay etc...

however they put them back so i assume it was a bug. Vision crushed! ( ;) )

The Haz fluctuates. Occasionally it's just Eagles, Adders and Cobras. But after a while Condas, FdL, Clippers and lots of FxS and Pythons show up. I get 9-11 mil out of every run before I run out of ammo on my Vette. When there's a period of only small ships, I just laser them down, conserving ammo.

I dropped into the CG system yesterday and went straight to the hazres, had great large ship spawns (annies, clippers, pythons, wings) so hung around for an hour collecting bounties and scooping mats. Played for another 30 minutes later that evening, mostly mid range ships (vultures, FGS, asps) but still pretty busy.
Chalked up $6M in bounties for the CG, much of that time spend collecting mats, so it was good to me for my two sessions.
Going to try again tomorrow, hopefully move up the tiers.

I can confirm now this HazRes is very much randomized - which is a good thing imo, I don't find it boring.
On the other hand I think the seed shouldn't be influencing the spawn rate too much. Players should not feel the need to relog in order to get a better instance.

meanwhile I've learned the lesson that pride is my deadliest enemy, so in a way I did win
I have been calling it greed. It gets you killed sooner or later. ;-)
