HazRes must be buffed, it is dead

So yesterday I went on to multicrew with my Cutter. We went to a hazres but then after 20 minutes of almost zero spawns I said to my multicrew members that guys, this isnt working, hazres is dead.
What happened: Constant spawn of lowbie Cobras / a FEW Dropships / Eagles
What I expect at the MINIMUM in a HazRes: Wings of Anacondas / Cutters / Corvettes with escorts like ASPs / Dropships etc. No Eagles No Cobras, No ASPs, so in other words no lowbie crap!

Please fix this, thank you.

There's some odd things that govern the spawning of ships I think.

If I take my Deadly crew member out in and I fly my Anaconda, we tend to get some good stuff.

If I take my Master crew member out, I get rubbish stuff.

If I fly my SLF myself, I get rubbish stuff.

With wings, it just goes mental and spawns crap, usually.
(I haven't used MC in a Res in ages)

We need an end to this ship size and combat rank based spawning gubbins.
We need more layers of RES, so we can chose how difficult we want it, not so the game can make some judgement based on a rank that actually has nothing to do with combat skill.

CMDR Cosmic Spacehead

Hazres overhaul is long overdue..

it indeed needs cutters/corvettes and condas.. preferred flying in a wing of 3 and bigger..

And bigger bounties.. and ships with engineer mods!!

Not everyone is gonna be in big engineered death machines, some players will go into a Haz Res in smaller unengineered ships so cant all be wings of Anacondas/Corvettes/Cutters.

Im personally more interested in the bounties combat rank for the XP rather than the ship they fly anyway,im sure a lot of people are the same.

If a Haz Res has bad spawns jump out into SC and then back in a minute later. Let the highest combat rank CMDR lead the wing and drop in first also. If its still not enough going to a compromosed nav beacon should give you larger/higher ranked ships to kill, much more likely to be in wings too in a CNB in my experience.

For smaller ships there is comp nav beacons, they spawn high-ranked small ships. Hazres should be high-ranked big ships.

No, we can't balance the highest grade of RES for the lowest common denominator - I'd be in favour of a complete overhaul of the RES system to take into account all levels; maybe 5 or so with varying degrees of difficulty.

...the hardest ofc being the 'Ultra Mega Monster Eff-the-Eff-Off RES' & apart from two specific vowels, I'm not flexible on the name!

EDIT: Oh you can't say the 'Father Ted' version anymore:rolleyes:

I do wish HazREZ spawned more larger ships, and wings of larger ships when in a wing. We should also get a new sort of REZ site or something with pretty well engineered ships with very high payouts, AND I want maximum bounty payout see raised to 5 million, and have those on very highly engineered ships for assasination missions and have the assasination missions also pay out 10 mil or so.

In my experience if you get good spawns plenty of large ships spawn, and some of them in wings.

I think the spawn rates are more of a problem. Needing players to leave/mode switch and come back to change them is not ideal.

To be honest the Rez sites need to shift away from the shooting fish in a barrel mechanic anyway. It has always seemed like a placeholder, the whole concept makes no sense. Bad guy pirates just turn up to be shot at and killed over and over and over. Yeah that's a realistic scenario. If you want to pew pew there are CZ's the rez site should be for mining with the odd pirate truning up now and again to rob the miners. Those pirates should more often than not be formidable wings and pretty rare, giving the bounty hunter players a nice big pay off (in the millions) if they kill them but balanced with camping out waiting for one to potentially turn up and cause mayhem.

The HazRez's are fine, you j ust have to leave and re-enter, to get the spawn you want.

In relation to difficulty, they need a higher level above HazRez, say 'Toxic HazRez' where all the self professed ace pilots can go and play with the twinked out ships and tell us all how awesome they are.

meanwhile, players without horizons, or engineered ships, can still use the Hazrez.

as a miner and bounty hunter myself.. mining happens in random places in a ring, no way im gonna mine in a RES.
that would defeat the purpose of mining, just chilling and shooting some rocks.. last thing i want is NPCs coming to bother me.

Hmm Resource extraction site? The clue is in the name. It's meant for mining.

Just because FD got the whole mechanic wrong doesn't mean that it shouldn't be corrected.

The RES could and should have mining booty that's a significantly higher value than the other sites.

How the hell is that fine? In wings you have no such ability. RNG like that should have no place in this game.

Yes we rejoined the instance multiple times, still no change. My crew members were not that big combat rank but that shouldnt take into consideration. It is a HAZARDOUS site, meaning it must be for "end game" big engineered ships. Where is the end game challange? And no I refuse to participate in stupid Thargoids, making them immune to all weapons other than those silly anti xeno weapons. "So you are immune to my convetnional weapons Thargoid? Well, I ignore you then, good content, NOT".
Hazres MUST be an end game challange with great profits and great risks, absolutely not what we have now.
Frontier has ALWAYS been absolutely crap at balancing things sadly.

i dont care much what kind of name it has, even if they call it rainbow palace.. if there are NPCs that come bother me while mining, ill skip it.

also, are you a miner yourself?
