HCS Voice Attack confusing...

Hi

I'm new so please be nice :)

I'm trying to workout the difference between the below voice commands ive setup with eden hcs voice pack:

Engage Jump Drive
Engage Warp Drive
Engage System Jump
Engage Explorer Jump
Engage supercruise

I normally just engage super cruise when I'm just flying around normally

I normally use jump drive between going to different planets in the current system I'm in

I normally use system jump when wanting to go to another system in the galaxy.

But I'm honestly not sure of the differences.... And what I read online is that most people just toggle frameshIft and the game decides on super cruise or system jump depending on what youve targetted.


But how do the voice commands work??. That's a lot of voice commands.. What the difference between them all?

Sorry in advance. If there's a way i can specifically see what buttons correspond with the voice command I'd be ok.

Also ant general advice would be good.

Have you looked in the manual "Singularity reference guide.pdf" (HCS Voicepacks Voice Commands - Command Reference Manual)

There are a lot of commands not listed - for example "Engage Supercruise" does just that.

You can look in the list of Elite Voice Commands "VoiceAttack/Sounds/HCS TOOLS/.Voice command lists/Elite Dangerous Voice Commands/Singularity ship commands.html"

I made all my own VA commands and reply's etc from a mish mash of sci fi going back as far as dark star bomb no 6 (1974)
to seismic charges from starwars for when mining opal fruits
to drop ship from aliens hydraulics landing gear
to seven of nine requesting docking...……… to sigorney weaver complaining about repeating the computer (galaxy quest)
to many taken from red dwarf
to military jumps drives from frontier 2 (amiga)
(ya avoid putting things like boost etc on VA as it can hear things and mistake them for a command...…………...
just as you go to the toilet typically (another game that's briilll for VA is silent hunter 4 my gar class sub is 90%voice controlled) with samples from all the classics like run silent run deep etc
I open note pad as the target window when testing to see what keystrokes etc are pressed when I speak a command
excerpts from the hitch hikers guide (fry)are fitted as standard

voice attack dont's
rec girlfriend\wife having a go at you over some trivial repetitive matter like " for the last time can you take the rubbish out!"
and incorporate it into VA so that on next rubbish day when you give the what? command the pc replies in her voice the above
