I already posted this in the VR subforum, but there seem to be to few commanders visiting that forum, so I didn't get an answer and instead repost my question here:
I have neither TrackIR nor an Oculus Rift, yet (I am waiting for the hopefully not to far away consumer version of the OR), but I just got a Logitech G930 surround sound headset. Now I am wondering if repositioning sound sources in multi-channel headsets is properly incorporated into head tracking of OR/TrackIR? What I mean is this: if you turn your head to the left while using a TrackIR/OR and a stereo/surround headset, do the sounds that came from the front now correctly come from the right while your head is turned to the left? Could someone using a headset with TrackIR/OR enlighten me, please? Does it work properly? E.g. are the "lags" - if there are any - synchronized enough to not break the immersion?
Thanks in advance!
