Heading out and not looking back...

After spending what seemed an eternity struck in endless dead end slave trading job, I sold my beloved type 9 and purchased a new python for painite mining. The cash rolled in and in a few weeks I had enough to finally purchase some good upgrades, open up some engineers, and obtain the guardian fsd booster. I decided to purchase a krait mk 2 and phantom. The krait mk 2 is a great all around ship and might replace my python. The phantom basically replaced my asp explorer and wow what a ship. Decked it out for my recent adventure into the vast darkness of space...to Colonia.

I have a 64ly max jump range, but averaging 53 ly per jump. I didn’t want to run out of fuel on my 22k ly trek so I added a couple 32 ton gas tanks. With 96 tons of fuel, I had no problems at all. 6a fuel scoop helps out as well. The phantom handles well and cools down rather quickly while leaving a star...no heat issues. I finally made it I Colonia. I really like it there. It does need more “A” and “D” rated modules but other than that...

i’ll probably spend a couple of months in the area and then start looking at exploring the galaxy from there. Cheers to my fellow explorers.

When you went for Painite mining, why did you sell your T9? Imho it's perfect for laser mining.
Regarding Colonia: I like it there, too. I'm thinking about setting up camp there, too. But than again, I'm mostly out in the black.

well eventually I did purchase a type 10. The python isn’t that bad of a mining ship. Type 9 is ok but I needed some quick cash and sold it. 😁
