Heading towards the Core

I've set out with just a Cobra III with the essentials, A-grade FSD and no software on the 9th for my first long exploration trip to change things up from the bounty hunting I normally do. I was originally headed to NGC 6820 (around 6,500 LY out of the bubble) before carrying on up the arm, but I've changed my mind and have turned towards the Core now I'm about 2,000 LY out. Especially since I'm coming across more unexplored systems than I was expecting. I'm now heading for the Neutron Fields (about 18,000 LY from my current position) and depending on me and a few other factors, might head out all the way to Sagittarus A* (25,000 LY). I'm going to stick to 20 LY jumps for much of the way and slow down to do some more through scanning as I make my way to the fields.

Any good or noteworthy places I could visit along the way into the Core?

A bit off course from where I'm heading too but if I head deeper into the Core, I might have a look. Thanks for the hint.

I've seen the map before. I was thinking of more specific places but it's still handy to have so thanks!

Once I'm finished in the Fields and Core, I might head off towards the eastern side, see where I can get to before turning and looping back to the Bubble.

Last time I took my Mk III out it was for 20 months. It's a great ship to explore in, have fun out there and there's so much in the core that retreading the paths of prior explorers just seems redundant. Go find a new thing all of your own (but anything of note we already know of is in the GMP - for specific places go to Kurama's link and open menu on the right (the stack of coasters kind of icon) to see a load of specific places in different categories.
