Heartbroken

So, I'm not one of those kind of people who soaks up every bit of news and rumors about games coming out. I keep a little up to date and then enjoy the surprises after the game is released.

But I didn't expect my big surprise to be that only planets with a "tenuous" atmosphere can be landed on. I saw all these pre-release screen shots with beautiful blue skies "overhead" and couldn't wait to explore worlds with multiple atmosphere types. I mean, I figured if No Man's Sky achieved it FIVE YEARS AGO, that Frontier would easily one-up them by now. Nope.

But I'm not all sour-. I'm enjoying all the numerous additions and graphic improvements. But has anyone heard anything about bringing us more sky??

Thanks.

You mentioned NMS so I'll go there too. NMS also has planets the size of my back garden. So there is that.

Although there aren't any thick atmospheres, what we do have are some pretty beautiful new skies. And quite a ton of bugs to go with it. But the skies are pretty. Personally, I think they're more spectacular than "blue skies" which I get to see every day... well, once every year or two, I do live in Manchester.

Can't
I'm sorry you somehow missed it, but "tenuous atmospheres only" was a thing that was advertised and talked about a lot since Horizon's announcement, both in interviews and in the official promotional material.
I can't believe I missed "tenuous atmospheres only" in their promotional material.
It was kind of funny. I was all up-to-date and picked out a nice 3.1 atmospheres planet to land on and couldn't wait to see what it would be like.

Then the reality set in... . . . .. .

So, based on responses so far, it sounds like there's been no mention of opening up more interesting atmospheric planets?

Thanks, crew!
