Newcomer / Intro Heat issue

When I am about to frame shift, I get a heat warning for about 15-20 secs. Weather I am loaded down or not. What can I change to correct this?

Get a better power plant it should help.

Are you in a T6 by any chance?

Upgrading the power plant, FSD and power distributor all help with heat.

Thanks.. Gotta find a station that will give me a better one.. I am presently at Fujin and they only have a couple options, none better than the Power Plant I have already. And It is a Cobra that I am having issues with. My Viper and T7 are great..

Just check the closest high tech system, always best for equipment.

Keep in mind that while you get the verbal warning at 100% heat, you won't actually take damage until 125%-150% depending on your ship. You won't explode for going a few percent over 100.
