Heated windshields, er, I mean canopies

I'm half not actually wanting this, as I had quite the surprise when deep core mining the other day when as i closed in on the shattered 'roid, my ship's temperature dropped to 1% and I had to navigate back out to safety using proximity alerts, the main scanner and the odd blast of my mining laser to light up what was or wasn't directly in front of me - this was tense and rather fun.

But then I thought that I've rented Fiesta's fitted with this fitted as standard and it suddenly felt a bit odd!

Ultimately, I don't care too much and it feels nice that this shouldn't be a forum war type topic, but I'd certainly quite like to have it as a toggle-able option.

are you sure you arent mistaking the asteroid dust for your windshields icing over?

I'm not sure in the slightest! Cheers, I'd just assumed it was freezing over due to the 1% heat, especially as I was in an icy ring in the gas giant's shadow.

If it is dust, then we need windscreen wipers and wiper fluid - though it's going to need a very high anti-freeze content :)

Yeah the asteroids make a huge cloud of dust when you crack them.
Use night vision mode to see through it.

Before we had to use ship lights to navigate. This was worthless but also before ice dust clouds who "clouded" your vision and made your ships heat decrease a lot. But now as previous posters have mentioned you can use night vision. Changing to night vision is actually very useful in combat as well.

euhh the same here with another ship m8
try the cutter with all lasers/overcharged/heatvent then start shooting at targets u will be suprised how fast ur canopy is full with ice

Thermal vent doesnt work on asteroids.
Mining doesnt make your ship's thermals go down
