Heatsink deployment type 6

Hi all,

Has something changed about the way you can deploy heatsinks whilst in SC?

I've just bought a type 6 and I can't figure out how to deploy the heatsink whilst in SC. I appear to have enough power, and I have it both mapped to a fire group and a key binding and a joystick slider.

When I'm in normal flight I was able to get them to deploy no problem, but can't get them to deploy in SC.

got the same problem in my hauler, cannot seem to deploy in SC, which sucks as I was hoping to use it for fuel scooping

You can't use heatsinks in SC, only in normal space.

Sandwiched between 2 suns whilst exploring, and tried to spam heatsink in panic mode.. futile. Nothing happened.. I just figured it never worked in SC.

You could launch heat sinks in SC in the past. Maybe that was withdrawn in beta testing. I remember during beta you could do it.

1.1 changed it, I used heat sinks in SC shortly before the patch. Same thing no longer works.

Interesting! I've been playing since release, and have never been able to use heat sinks in SC.
