I'm at Sag A* with 58% hull after a similar incident, and personally I'm going to head back once I've taken a brief hiatus from exploring. But this is the furthest journey I've done, and I'm sitting on a whole bunch of fully scanned systems including black holes and neutron stars. If I'd sprinted straight here, and didn't have quite so much data gathered on the journey, I might be more tempted to push on.
In the OP's case I'd need more data before making a decision. Does the ship have shields? They won't help if you crash into a star's gravity well, but they might mean the difference between survival or death if another really heavy landing is attempted. How much exploration data has the OP gathered, and how much relative value does he place on it? Does the OP have enough self control not to attempt any more high-g landings or is he, like me, a screenshot tart who can't resist a good photo opportunity even if it means taking silly risks landing on razor-sharp escarpments on large moons?
