Heavy Metal Megadeth or Megapunk?

Most ships have thrusters capable of pulling more than 4G. The Cobra III can pull 20G. Even an Anaconda can pull 5 or 6.

Nice amount of metallic rocks on surface. I was there half an hour with the srv and even managed to find yttrium (once) and tungsten (couple of times). And rocks are not too far from each other, unless i was just lucky. Will go back. Definetly keep your pips on shields and engines when landing (in equal amount). Be ready to boost away from the planet if you realize you can't stop your descent. Use downthrust with light, quick micro touches, if you must use it.

I am not really sure how to do that. What race? I checked community goals at the station but it was empty.

Indeed, it's a fine planet to find metals, BUT whatever you do, do not dismiss your ship and recall it afterwards.
I spent three days sitting on that hunk of rock in my srv till FD support spawned me back in orbit with my ship. I had dismissed my asp while driving around. When I wanted to transfer cargo to my vessel, I recalled it and it made a faceplant some 100meters from my position and just blew up

Lol...but ouch. It crossed my mind yesterday the moment I hit "Recall Ship" but I was lucky this time, I guess. I never really liked dismissing my ship when on planet surfaces but then one time I wondered a little to far from it and could not see it on the radar screen anymore. All the buttons related to the ship where red and not clickable. Not sure if I had encountered a bug. I was already aware at the time that there is a way to query the system for the ship's location but that wouldn't work either. The only reason I was able to find my way back is because I remembered the ship's general direction, even after a thousand different turns looking for rocks, lucky me.
