Heeeeelp.

Hi All. Having a bit of a problem. I am in the Chemaku system with two other systems in range. One LFT 1653 is just three dwarth stars and nothing else, the other one is Ciguru with just a Extraction refinery called Hui Mines with just a refuel and repair. There is nowhere where here that I can get decent guns so every time I go out I get shot to hell and most times I'm not even carrying cargo. As I say I can not get to other places as I havnt got the range. There is a ship yard at Crampton Port in the Chemaku system where my Eagle was parcked but sold that to get some money. Think perhaps I should have kept that but to late now. Trading to get more money is going to take for ever. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys and the lovely ladies.

In the worst case scenario, you can do a CLEAR SAVE in options and restart from scratch (and maybe in another area)

your ship can do more than one jump on a full fuel tank you should be able to travel at least 3 - 4 jumps minimum, that being said I do not know the system that you are in but my suggestion is explore, use the galaxy map and system maps to find stuff to visit.

Sell anything you can to gain jump distance - weapons and shields are likely candidates. Go for D class modules if possible (except Frame Shift drive, get as high a one of those as you can afford).
.
This reduces your mass as much as possible for bigger jumps. Get somewhere a bit nicer than where you are and do missions to start building up more cash.
.
If you are interdicted, submit (zero throttle) and then just run and jump as soon as your FSD cools down, usually it is fast enough to avoid being destroyed. If it is human players interdicting you all the time, play in Solo mode until you are more confident at being able to handle them.
.
It would be nice if ships that interdict didn't bother to kill you if there is nothing in it for them - no cargo, no bounty.
.
Edit: Chemaku sounds familiar - I think it may have been on my trade route between Xihe and Toxandji. Both those stations sell Rare goods that make a nice profit and Xihe is good for Sidey upgrades. See if they are near to you and you can get to them.

Strip down your ship as much as possible to see if you can extend the range enough to get out of the bubble. The less mass your ship has the further it can jump.

Hi that was quick. So I could do that ,but don't think I would get my Eagle back plus would I get my money back as well.

Either what's been suggested above or sell your modules or exchange them for cheaper and lighter versions + (optional) get a better FSD module.

The range of your ship also depends on its mass, so if you have a lighter ship you will be able to jump further. You can then re-buy the modules when you make some money.

::EDIT::

If your Eagle was free (Mercenary Edition) you will get it again when you restart your save.

If you can dock in chemaku, you can try to make your ship "lighter" by selling some modules and guns, this should increase your range and you should try to get into aiabiko or somewhere, with more system in range, if you buy your stuff back.

You can sell your loan lasers, discovery scanner, anything that's non-essential to reduce mass and boost jump range too - might give you enough distance to break the deadlock
/edit - beaten to it !

Run with full pips to ENG and the rest in SYS, that way you have max speed and boost capability as well when legging it from a hostile in normal flight.

You could sell your weapons, shields and cargo hold. This should give you a bigger jump range to get somewhere safer.

Thanks guys. Did not realise you could do more than one jump. Been in since beta, should have played the game more and would have learnt. Cheer's

Hi Chemaku was my starting pos, I too sold my free ship, I cant remember off the top of my head but I went to AJIKAN because it has a metallic Pristine planet,(AIJKAN 4) Via, Aiku?? GM36??, Cephie-cm?? I made small money by doing the bullet-in boards, they are more reliable then trading, I then bought a Haulier and with no guns, (replace with mining laser, and Refinery) 4cargo space and 1 hopper, can make 72,000cr 1 hrs 5mins, IF you want to go down this route to start. Then we all had to start again from 1000cr and I done exactly the same, Last night In my 18 ton cargo COBRA III 1 trip netted 279.000CR you need at least a 4 bin refinery, hope this helps good luck

Also, in the navigation screen tick "range" I think it is instead of "economy".

I played for weeks before I noticed that one.

I also started in Chemaku at Crampton Port (my eagle is still there) and began with transport missions from the bulletin board.

Normally you should earn enough credits to improve your FSD to reach systems like LHS 64, Hach, and Aiabiko. It should be no problem to buy a Hauler after some of the transport missions. I earned enough credits to buy a Cobra now, but I decided to stay here until I can buy a very well fitted Cobra.

Don't forget that at half fuel you can jump further. I just ran your route to Sol. and it looks like you need to get it to 10.92 at half tank of fuel to escape.

Code:
chemaku
Hach 8,4
LTT 16016 10,92
G 230-27 9,35
Ross 1069 7,81
Eta Cephei 9,3
Hambula 7,48
LHS 3549 10,05
44 chi Draconis 10,05
LHS 3595 8,19
Kruger 60 10,64
61 Cygni 5,15
Barnards Star 9,28
Sol 5,95

 Total Distance : 112,57

Didn't know CHEMAKU is a staring place. We are neighbors then, i started at AIABIKO. You might want to check there, it has 4 major stations.
