Newcomer / Intro HEEELLLPPP!! Can't repair cockpit canopy

OK, so I got attacked, cockpit canopy smashed, managed to escape and landed at Polansky Hub before oxygen ran out - entered hangar, but now can't repair? Am I dead?

I think, having never been in this situation, that your oxygen is replenished, so if you can find a close station with repair facilities you should be okay. Sweaty palms, but okay.

https://eddb.io/station may help with finding somewhere near. I suggest as close to the star as you can find, and as few jumps as possible.

Ok, from EDDB, the only Polansky Hub that doesn't have a repair facility is in G 173-53. In this case, you could either make for McArthur Landing (if it's in a favourable position) or jump to Guyton's Hope, 7.74 ly away, and make for Guyton's Eyrie, 84 ls from the entry point.

made it to Mcarthur's Landing - easy really, had 7.5 minutes oxygen, no sweat. And the new canopy has no bugs splattered on it!

A note for next time, stations let you breathe as soon as you get through the letterbox outposts you have to be locked down on the pad if not in the hanger then they go straight to recharge. So head for a station if possible also you are more likely to be denied axis at an outpost.
