Height Markers in Coaster Builder?

In RCT3, we had height markers that showed how tall each piece of the track was. This helped make our coasters more realistic or to give a general sense in proportion. I feel that this is even more important now with the tools we have now. This would make it even easier to replicate a real-life coaster. Just a thought, but I would love to see this in the game.

Height markers would be a great addition to the game. It would be very helpful when building with ultimate precision. [up]

I have been requsting this for a while so definatly +1

And personally i would like to have all 3 as markers : Height, Angle & Banking.

Yes, height markers could be useful. And also a visual indication of the intensity like the other game I will not mention could be great ;-)

yes and please give us the option to use imperial measures. us living states-side still like to use inferior methods of measurement.

Definitely agree on this. Markers for everything!
Well, the important things at least.

I would love to know how high some of my coasters are at the moment, just out of curiosity.

This is indispensable for a good coaster builder!

I even want more information, like the exact angle of the track or the predicted speed on a certain part of the track, and expected positve, negative and lateral G-forces...

I think/hope we get this Information with the Test Mode. Like the Games before.

This idea makes me wonder how the height would be measured. Since the terrain tools allow us to change the height of everything, would the height of the coaster be from the default height that the park entrance is at? What about when you dig down real far and start the coaster from lower than the default ground height? Or vice versa, start the coaster from on top of a hill?

I think the height should be the overall height from the level of the station.

I would prefer to have it relative to a baseline height which I suppose we can think of sea level - that way I can elevate stations to certain heights and also have accurate terrain height markers which I also think should be a must.

Yes - definitely a zero-level - arbitrary is fine as long as it's consistent throughout the game (future-safe for sharing). I think that having heights unique to each coaster would be less useful in the long run.

Now if we could also get back the track length numbers, that would be wonderful.
