Hellion + Elite Dangerous = My Ultimate Dream Game

I have no played it but i have watched a lot of videos.
if there were npcs to take the role of "people i can interact with" why do you not think it would be a good blueprint for single player game (I am not saying you are wrong, just interested in your perspective) thanks
They key point for me, and one that is often not taken into consideration, is that it is easier to make a game that does A and another game that does B, than a game that does both A and B. And when you expand that to A til F, it becomes MUCH more difficult to do it in one game. I'd love if they could add a Hellion to ED. Or, alternatively, if they could add ED to Hellion.In truth, I dont believe for a second it is actually feasible at this time, and attempts at this either have failed (X:R, EvE) or are failing (SC). At some point its best to consider that all these attempts may have failed because we want too much, rather than that everyone who tried is incompetent at performing this doable task.
DB has said many a time that the game is design for FPP gameplay to be added, whether that is true or not, I don't know. DB has said a lot of things that haven't been 100% accurate. I wouldn't use X:R or EVE or even SC as a basis, or I would use them as a basis on how not to do it. Can they add it, pretty sure they can. Do I want it, yes, but only if it is well made and adds to the overall experience with good meaningfull and compelling content.
I would love to see some elements of Hellion added, but it doesn't need to be as in-depth as that, as it would end up being the default way to play the game. It would need to be balanced between repairing your ship, flying it, using the SRV and exploring facilities.
Well, i'd rather have a good multiplayer mechanics than very limited singleplayer ones. I dont see this game having any kind of story mode and it doesnt even need one imo. Doing stuff and goofing off with couple of friends is by far the best entertainment in this game.
This type of game just wouldnt work as single player as most of the stuff has been designed with priority being in multiplay.

Not in its current form, but all the game mechanics are there so to get more people to buy it they would need it to be a SP game.
