Hello, and a question.

Hi all. Glad to finally be part of the elite community. Loaded the game yesterday, only found about it 3 weeks ago. I suppose I don´t keep up much with gaming news.
I did play the original elite on an Amstrad back in 86` 87` or something. Fantastic time. I eventually gave the Amstrad and Elite to a friend of mine who also only made it to "Deadly". I told him about the new "Elite Dangerous" and he will be joining me online. Thats pretty cool.

Now my question:
I live in Germany and my Windows 7 is in German. Yesterday, after downloading the client I tried to change the language from german to english. Ended up with the blankscreen and music and apart from that, nothing. So off I googled and came across some older mails that showed me a way of changing the language through the "Appdata" file. ie. C/User/Username/Appdata/Local/Frontier Developements/Elite Dangerous/Options/Player/Custom.misc (then editing tool to change language setting) But it didn´t work. My game is in german still. The Combat sim as well as the game. And on the game SetUp there isn´t an option for Language.

I would much prefer to play the game in my mother tongue. Can any of you Commanders help me out.
