So: Hey all together!
I was just trying to see whether the new lighting system would provide more natural behavior of light - in tunnels or caves especially.
Well, what I found out was rather disappointing.
Yes, tunnels seemed to be darker when looking down them from the outside. But trying to go inside and closing all entrances was rather.... well, disappointing as I said.
It did not appear to be darker than when being in shadow of objects - which I find quite annoying though.
This leads to questions:
a) To devs: Will that once be possible? And how far will lighting change when inside a building?
b) To community: Did I do sth wrong and missed a way to darken certain spots?
[Edit]: I found, that darkness is becoming more intense when moving far underground, but stays like shadow-ish daylight when building a cave on top of the earth.
