Fully engineered meta FDL required.

I've been seeing threads talking about how utterly useless the Mamba is in PvP.
I really like this ship as is but I only use it for PvE.
Would someone like to help me understand first hand what its issues are in a live situation ?
Its the best way I can understand its issues. By seeing them and feeling them in action.
If you would preffer stopping the fight at a certain percentage, this is fine. Fighting to pop is also fine.

I am on most evenings till late, GMT.
Little friendly duel. Its for science. My Mamba is not fully engineered, I do not expect to win, only to understand.

It's a glass cannon you can deal a good amount of DPS but it can't take a lot of damage before you have to leave it has less hull then the FDL and with 1 less size 4 you can't use cellbanks like you can with the FDL the only thing it has going for it Is the speed.

In its original game the Mamba was a racing yacht that had been armed and F.D. have tried to be true to this. I do remember that they were a real pain in the asp as they came in wings using their speed to keep out of your firing line whilst stripping your shields.

Dang, I would absolutely 1v1 with you to show you but I'm in Hawaii for the next 2 weeks but if no one has by the time I get back I will.

The problem I have with the mamba is turn rate, too much heat when trying to run all PA's and the lack of a second size 4 slot. You just can't get as much SCB on the mamba as you can on the FDL because it has a 3 instead of a 4 slot.

I'm hoping that it will take Fdev more than a few weeks to update the ship in live.

"Confounds" not confusion, as in "confounding variables."
That's what you need to remove for it to be "for science".

For example by your own admission you don't play PVP often, so perhaps if you lose, it's just your lack of skill and has nothing to do with the Mamba.

I'm getting a real taste for this ignore option now. I've always known it was an option but never used it. I cant stop using it now. Its great.

No. I dont think you are.
I just want to feel it for myself. Not be bogged down in your universe of this is how it should be rules.

The point is Birdman would probably beat you in either ship, so what is the value of the exercise?

You're also gimping the Mamba since it's not even fully engineered, yet you're asking for a fully engineered FDL to fight.

Those aren't personal attacks or some nonsense that deserves blocking over, it's simply pointing out the stark weaknesses of your experiment.

That you take that personally suggests you aren't used to disagreement, thus the "low expectations" line.

It's not personal to begin with, so that is all on you.
