Newcomer / Intro Hello Everyone.

This is just a message to say Hello to the community of E:D.

I've never played a Space Sim in my entire 26 years of being on this pebble we call Earth. I have only recently discovered the existence of E:D, Thanks to a review(First impressions) on YouTube. After this I did research, watched more Videos, read stuff, and combined with my burning desire for Astronomy, I came to the conclusion that I really want this game, but not only do I want to play it, I want to be completely immersed into it. Some spare pennies came my way and I thought, Let's do this, and bought it, along with the Saitek X52 Flight setup which had been also given good enough reviews. I've also never used a joystick or throttle. I'm most likely going to get my hands on Voice Attack too. So, essentially, I am coming into this game, as fresh they can get my friends. The penultimate newbie.
I am not going to play this game without these controls, so I sit and wait for their arrival. It just doesn't seem to make sense to me to use a k+m or a controller. I don't know why anyone would care about my little story, but here it is.

Well hello there and welcome to our community :)

I hope you soon get your gear in the mail so you can come out and play with the rest of us... ;)

In the meentime please read thrugh some of the helping threads here on forum..

And NEVER EVER take off in an expensive ship whitch you cannot afford the rebuy insureance for, that way you never has to suffer the pain of getting from a multi million cr. ship all the way back to the starting Sidey with just a few cr. left, like so many others had to learn the hard way, and some of them actually quit after that experience.. :D

anyway fly safe once you get out there Cmdr....
